Connect, Move, Breathe & Share is a programme of outdoor get-togethers. For adults with mild additional support and/or mental health needs who would benefit from social connection. 

 

Events involve a walk, gentle movement exercises and creative activities. We always finish with a social and drink (on us!) from the local café. Next up is a January 2025 reset at Abbey Grounds!

January 2025 Reset

what to expect & practical details

  • Events are specifically for adults with additional needs, learning and/or physical disabilities or mental health needs.
  • Anyone interested must get in touch with we can ensure the session is suitable and the right level of support is in place.
  • Led by Louise Brown & Marie Louise-Flexen – with over 20 years experience of facilitating inclusive movement with groups across the UK.

  • Participants are welcome to join with their support worker to enable further participation.

  • This is an ongoing project – you can join the events you’re able to attend.
  • Everyone taking part is encouraged to give their feedback on what they enjoyed, what they want more of and what could be different next time. 
  • Travel bursaries are available upon request. Let us know if this would be helpful for you. 
  • Events are free to attend. Supporter payments are optional – any income raised goes back into the project and future activities.

This group has come about from a local dance class run by the fabulous Cirencester Dance Club, and their Interdepen-Dance weekly term time dance sessions. 

 

The participants wanted to meet in the holidays, stay connected socially and keep active over their break from their termly dance classes.  

 

This is where we have come in at Hook & Loop Collective – to plug that gap through outdoor get-togethers to keep everyone moving & connected during the holidays.  

 

With events in January, April and August this year, we’re inviting anyone who may benefit from these seasonal activities to join us!
